In many cases, I know everything there is to know about my clients and their businesses. I need to know your whole story in order to convey the important parts of it to your clients.
I rarely get to meet my clients in person, and sometimes I get the feeling you are wondering about the mystery woman behind the emails and messages.
Here's a little tidbit about me:
I come from a family rooted in the health and wellness field. My father is a cardiologist who still practices part-time. In fact, I got my start as a dicta-typist in his office. My mother, the office manager with a master's degree in healthcare administration, was a stickler for accuracy. Many a letter was returned to me for what I considered innocuous typos:
"You must have pride in your work", she taught me.
My mom's father was a twice-trained dentist, first in France and then again in Canada. My grandmother swears he was known for his pain-free methods even before the advent of the current sedation and anaesthesia options.
And there's more. My father-in-law retired from psychiatry this month, and my mother-in-law is a retired operating room nurse.
This year, my family was privileged to be asked to lend our faces to my hometown hospital's current fundraising campaign. The picture above is of some of the four generations of my family who have been patients and/or staff and was taken during that photo shoot.
